How do you measure volume in a KeepCup?

To brim full, with the lid on. Our barista-standard cups were designed to replicate single-use takeaway cup volumes, which are described in fluid ounces, so a 12oz KeepCup holds what a 12oz takeaway cup holds.

  • Press-on lids (Original, Brew): Volume measured brim full. Designed to drink lid on or off, and to allow latte art and a clean pour.
  • Press-in lids (Cold Cup): Slightly reduce internal volume, because the lid sits inside the rim.
  • Screw-fit lids (Commuter): Also adjust internal volume a little, in exchange for a leakproof seal.

The principle is the same across the range: match the café pour so a barista can fill it without guesswork, and make it an easy fill you enjoy using.

What drinks are best for a 12oz KeepCup?

A 12oz KeepCup (around 340ml) is the most popular size, often equivalent to a “medium” takeaway coffee at cafés. It offers a balance between volume and portability, making it versatile for a wide range of drinks.

Specialty Coffee: Perfect for lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites if you like a little extra milk. It’s also a great choice for larger long blacks or Americanos when you want a longer coffee without it being too diluted.
